Redrow’s new build homes in Norfolk and the surrounding areas are set within a lovely corner of East Anglia. The county of Norfolk shares a border with Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Suffolk (plus there’s even a maritime border with the Netherlands!). It’s actually the fifth largest ceremonial county in England. Norfolk is also renowned for having a bit less rainfall and a bit more sunshine than the rest of the UK. Crime rates are typically low as well. With all things considered, there’s no wonder that Norfolk is such a popular place to live.
One of Norfolk’s largest borders is actually with the North Sea, and the resulting coastline spans 90 miles. This coastal area includes beautiful towns like Great Yarmouth and Cromer, and features like the 80-mile Norfolk Coastal Path. Norfolk’s beaches are renowned across the country too. Some of the most beloved include Holkham Bay, Brancaster Beach and Sea Palling Beach, and that’s only naming a few, so there’s plenty of choice. You’ll be able to reach all of these locations and more from one of our new builds in Norfolk, and you’ll also benefit from more besides. From ultrafast broadband and wildlife-friendly gardens, to A-ratings for energy efficiency and “fabric first” interiors, you’ll enjoy the best standard of modern living.
Enjoying the Area Around Your New Norfolk Home.
When it comes to exploring Norfolk, nature lovers are certainly especially blessed. Should you visit Blakeney Point, you can see the biggest colony of seals in the UK. At Titchwell, you can regularly view migrating seabirds by the thousand. There are also a lot of lovely lakes and rivers in the area, with the Norfolk Broads National Park boasting the largest quantity of rare species in the UK. This picturesque and bountiful landscape is all the more remarkable for being man-made! Other great natural spots include Pensthorpe Natural Park and The Wash. All of the water in the region means that Norfolk is great for sports enthusiasts too, as there’s lots of opportunities for boating and windsurfing. For children, do keep in mind the Pleasure Beach at Great Yarmouth, and Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure. Both are memorable days out!
The county town of Norfolk is Norwich. This is a place that seamlessly blends history, culture and modern living. Norwich is both a UNESCO City of Literature, and a fantastic retail centre. It actually has the largest permanent market in Europe! The Theatre Royal and the Playhouse attract some of the best arts performances you’re likely to see, and the University of East Anglia’s creative writing course is rightly famous. There are numerous cinemas too, including Cinema City (for independent films). Norwich is a gateway to multiple showcase events. The month of May is dominated by the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, where attendees can enjoy over 100 performances and workshops. However you like to spend time, Norwich offers something that you can enjoy.
Wonderful New Build Homes in Norfolk
No motorways pass through Norfolk, so our new build developments are fairly peaceful as a result. However, that doesn’t mean that the transport links are bad. There are numerous A roads, including the A47, A140 and A146. There’s the A11 as well, which links Norwich to London. You can also be in Liverpool Street Station within 90 minutes via train, with only a 30 minute wait between services. Norwich station gives you direct connections to other stations across Norfolk, and also to Cambridge and Peterborough. Ipswich, in particular, is just 40 minutes from Norwich by train. Buses and Park and Ride are handy too, and because Norwich has its own airport even overseas travel is a breeze.
