The designer touch
Redrow’s show homes are designed to inspire buyers as to the finished look they can achieve in their own homes.
Through a carefully crafted process, they are created by imagining a fictional family living in the property – using their ages, hobbies and even where they shop to influence the design and ensure potential purchasers who walk through the door feel instantly at home.
The four-bedroom detached Richmond is one of Redrow’s best loved Heritage Collection homes. The new showcase property at Knights Keep, in Staffordshire, has been styled for a family, including parents with two teenage children.
It has a fabulous open-plan kitchen, dining and family area, which spans the entire width of the property. A light and open room, its essence of space and flow has inspired the interior design choices.
- The options and upgrades for the finish of the kitchen vary between developments and house types, but in this house Redrow has chosen a Symphony Shaker style kitchen. The Cranbrook cabinets and drawers in Sage are complemented by White Arabesque silestone worktops that create a country home feel.
- The flooring is from Porcelanosa’s range of ceramic tiles. Finished in Chester Leno, the tiling has a wood effect, created using a white wash stripping technique to produce characteristic veining that brings a warm vintage look to the kitchen and dining areas.
- The walls are painted in Chiltern White from the Dulux Heritage range, a neutral tone that emphasises the spaciousness of this convivial open plan, multifunctional hub of family life, accented by a feature wall in Terra Ombra from the Dulux Heritage range to the family area.
- The convivial kitchen has a breakfast bar with bespoke tall stools in a dark wood, complemented by fabric from the Lakeside Collection by Prestigious Textiles in Natural Geometric.
