The informative session, taking place from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 8th June at Hazel Park, will give prospective homebuyers the chance to get hands on with all the energy efficient technologies now available at our developments across Hertfordshire.
Our sales consultants will be on hand to talk through the features of the Eco Electric collection, including air source heat pumps, underfloor heating, and thicker insulation. The event will also include a demonstration of the heat pump technology by expert Rob Arkle, from Vaillant Group, the provider of our air source heat pumps.
Situated on the edge of the vibrant Hertfordshire town of Stevenage, Hazel Park is home to an elegant collection of two to five bedroom properties, appealing to a range of homebuyers. Each home is from our award-winning Heritage Collection, ideally suited to anyone looking for a modern, spacious home with all the perks of energy efficient living. Whilst the architecture of the homes is inspired by the 20th Century Arts and Crafts era, the properties are fit for the future with air source heat pumps, thicker insulation, as well as underfloor heating across the ground floor.
Energy efficient living in Hertfordshire
Hazel Park is one of the first Eco Electric developments launched by us in Hertfordshire. The first phase includes 253 new homes and once complete, the development will comprise 618 energy efficient properties, a primary school, a pre-school, and an 80-bed care home. The first residents were welcomed in May.
The event this weekend follows recent research from where we revealed a quarter (24%) of homeowners in the East of England now considering moving to a more energy efficient home to make savings on their bills. The research also showed that nearly two fifths (39%) of people living in the East of England would prefer to move to a new build home due to their energy efficient features.
The range of features and technologies available in the homes at Hazel Park make it part of our most energy efficient homes ever. Air Source Heat Pumps, which come standard in the detached properties, are more efficient than gas boilers, as heat pumps capture heat that is already present in the environment and the system itself does not burn any fuel, therefore no carbon dioxide is emitted. The underfloor heating to the ground floor means that the large open plan spaces found in the Heritage Collection homes can be efficiently heated, without the need for radiators.
Jody Bryant, Sales Director at Redrow Eastern, comments: “We’re looking forward to welcoming potential homebuyers and those interested in energy efficient living to our Eco Electric event at Hazel Park this weekend. There are so many new technologies which are now available in our homes, so this is the perfect opportunity, particularly if you’re one of many Hertfordshire residents looking to move to a more energy efficient home, to see these in action.”
Rob Arkle, Business Development Manager at Vaillant Group, adds: “I’m excited to talk to prospective buyers about air source heat pumps at the event this weekend. Incorporating heat pump technology into your home is one of the most economical, effective, and environmentally friendly ways to heat your home and water. Heat pumps are a low carbon technology, as they gain 75% of their heat energy from the environment rather than the direct burning of fossil fuels. They emit no carbon at point of use and represent the future of home heating.
“This weekend at Hazel Park, I’ll be demonstrating how they work and helping homebuyers to understand all the benefits they deliver.”
