Redrow Midlands has officially started work at Windmill Court, on Butt Lane, East Bridgford, with 42 private and affordable homes for the community being built on the site.
There will be a range of three, four and five bedroom homes on offer from our award-winning Heritage Collection, which sees architecture inspired by the arts and crafts era combined with contemporary, refined interiors. Excitingly, the new homes will also be part of Redrow’s Eco Electric generation, featuring air source heat pumps and underfloor heating as standard, designed to greatly reduce energy bills and contribute to sustainable building.
As part of its offering, we will pump funds into secondary education, traffic regulation, a bus stop, public right of way and the local NHS. The new development will also deliver a much-needed car park extension to East Bridgford Medical Centre.
Along with this, a series of ecological enhancements will be made, including bird boxes, bat boxes, tree planting and swift bricks to provide a safe, spacious and habitable area for swifts to nest.
One of the homes available at Windmill Court will be The Sandringham, an impressive five-bedroom home from our Heritage Premium Collection. The home will boast an integrated double garage and a timeless exterior, with a spacious and light-filled kitchen and dining area that extends into a dedicated family space, alongside a separate lounge.
Elaine Carwright, Sales Director for Redrow Midlands, said: “It is an exciting moment for us all as we break ground on our newest site, Windmill Court.
“The development has wonderful amenities nearby, while also benefitting from being close to Nottingham centre and the lively West Bridgford, making it the perfect location for those looking to live in a thriving community that offers the best of both town and country living.
“We expect these homes to be very popular, especially with their Eco-Electric credentials, so would advise anyone looking to move to the area to register their interest sooner rather than later.”
Nestling in pretty East Bridgford, offering the close-knit community feel of village life yet just half-an-hour’s drive from the vibrant city of Nottingham and with amenities aplenty, Windmill Court will offer a truly enviable quality of living.
The development also forms a key part of Rushcliffe Borough Council’s local plan and will help meet the borough’s housing need for 13,500 new homes over the next decade.
