Our Midlands division, which is currently building at Amington Garden Village on Eagle Drive, has provided a £250 boost to help Tamworth Borough Council spread the Christmas spirit at the upcoming lights switch-on event, which is set to take place on Saturday 23 November.
The event will be held at the Holloway end of the castle grounds, with the fun beginning at midday with food, drink and festive stalls. Food vendors will be selling burgers, hotdogs, Indian delights, donuts, pancakes, hot and cold drinks, plus much more will be available. Visitors will also be able to grab festive gifts at Berts and Gerts Christmas market, which will be set up on Holloway Road.
Other attractions will include Tamworth Round Table's Santa sleigh, live entertainment on stage from The D Day Juniors, Tamworth Voices Choir, Tamworth Pantomime Company, The Santa Show Elves, Rory and the Revellers, Glen Chevannes and the Jango Dancers, Together Community Gospel Choir and more.
The lights will be switched on at 5pm by the Mayor of Tamworth and Santa's elves.
Elaine Cartwright, Sales Director at Redrow Midlands, said: “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and we are proud to sponsor such an iconic festive event in Tamworth.
“From all of us at Redrow, we hope the community will enjoy the festivities this weekend and enjoy celebrating the most wonderful time of the year when it arrives.”
