Gemini Boxing Club is a non-profit making, charitable boxing club base in Speke. It is run by volunteers and supported by donations.
"Gemini Boxing isn’t just a boxing club - it’s a vital community hub," says owner and coach John Rice. "We welcome people of all abilities and are committed to inclusivity, offering dedicated sessions for individuals with autism and young adults with learning difficulties. Our club is recognised as a safe space where members can build their skills, confidence and connections.
“To remove barriers, we also provide local transport for those who need it, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be part of our community. But to continue offering these essential services, funding is crucial. Support like the generous donation from Redrow’s Community Fund helps us sustain and expand our mission, making a real difference in people’s lives."
Anna Evans-Kerr, sales director at Redrow NW, said: “At Redrow, we believe in supporting initiatives that strengthen local communities, and Gemini Boxing is a perfect example of that. Their commitment to inclusivity, skill-building, and creating a safe space for people of all abilities is truly inspiring. We’re proud to contribute to their ongoing work, helping to remove barriers and ensure that everyone has access to the benefits of sport, mentorship, and community support."
The money received by Gemini Boxing came from our £10,000 Halewood community fund that has been shared between 12 groups and good causes close to the Hilton Grange development.
