Redrow South West, which is currently building new homes at Saxon Brook, in Exeter, has presented Ottery St Mary AFC with donations as part of its Community Fund initiative.
The fund, which launched last year, aims to help local organisations with specific donations and give them the tools they need to continue to thrive, with local causes invited to apply for their share of a £10,000 pot.
Established in 1911, Ottery St Mary AFC currently run four teams for adults, with over 100 registered players across both its men’s and ladies’ football teams. With a focus on developing and nurturing young talent, Ottery St Mary Youth Football Club supports almost 200 children aged 7-16 to stay active, make new friends and build on their sportsmanship skills from a young age.
Mark Isaacs, Chairman at Ottery St Mary AFC, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Redrow South West for this generous donation. The funds will make a huge difference to our team, helping us continue to provide a welcoming and fun space for all our members.”
