Landstruction made a winning bid of £5,500 back in November for Redrow NW's managing director Jason Newton and construction director Phil Reeves to join them on site working at Daresbury Garden Village’s latest phase, Keckwick Park.
The pair spent the day preparing and installing a wildflower meadow, which will enhance the new community for both residents and wildlife.
Overall, our annual charity ball raised £74,511 for Claire House Children’s Hospice. The hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children and young adults to live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. By providing specialist nursing and end of life care, as well as emotional support, Claire House helps families through some of the toughest times of their lives.
David Binks, managing director at Landstruction, said: “We have been involved in projects at Claire House Children’s Hospice over the past few years, so having an opportunity to give something back meant a lot to us as a business - this came in the shape of bidding for Jason and Phil at Redrow’s charity ball.
“Working with Jason and Phil for the day gave me the opportunity to put my boots on too, as we prepared and installed a wildflower meadow. A bit of hard graft followed by some light refreshments. It was a pleasure to spend the day with both of them.”
Jason added: “We had a great day working with David and all the team at Landstruction, who made us feel very welcome. It was great to get an insight into how our contractors work on site, whilst also raising such a great amount for the hospice.”
Keckwick Park will eventually feature 335 homes from our hugely popular Arts and Crafts inspired Heritage Collection with the new range of two, three and four-bedroom homes starting from £375,000.
