Redrow, currently building nearby Ledsham Garden Village, painted a zebra crossing outside the main entrance of the school, enabling children to cross the area safely.
“The area outside of the school gates is very busy as it’s the entrance to our car park,” said Sue Bell, school business manager at Sutton Green Primary School.
“This new zebra crossing is much needed and will help our pupils learn the importance of road safety. Thank you to the team at Redrow.”
As well as the new zebra crossing, the school was also gifted high-vis vests for all pupils, which will enable them to be well spotted whilst out and about.
Anna Evans-Kerr, sales director at Redrow North West, said: “Safety around school’s is paramount, so we were only too happy to help Sutton Green paint their new zebra crossing. I’m pleased to hear it will be put into good use with the school’s road safety talks too.”
Ledsham Garden Village, located off Ledsham Road, will eventually be a community of 2,000 properties and will also be home to a shop, a community building, allotments, meadow parkland and an orchard.
