Redrow, has today announced its sponsorship of Goldwyn School in Ashford, Kent. The sponsorship has provided dedicated sports kits for all students to wear both in PE lessons and for participation in external sporting fixtures, enabling students to act as proud ambassadors for the school.
Located in Ashford, just under five miles from Redrow’s Crown Hill View development, Goldwyn is a flagship secondary school, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. It provides a considered and holistic curriculum designed to meet the needs of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Stuart Galloway, Sales Director at Redrow South East, comments: “Participating in sports and physical education plays a crucial role in children and young people’s development, and in community life, so we are incredibly proud to support Goldwyn School with brand new kits.
We were honoured to be able to join Goldwyn School’s annual sports day last week to see first-hand how much of a positive impact the new kits have had on students. It was an exciting event where pupils showcased their skills and had lots of fun participating in friendly competition with their classmates.
At Redrow, we’re committed not only to building homes but creating thriving communities, and connecting with the organisations that make Ashford such a great place to live. We’re delighted to support Goldwyn School. We look forward to working together in the future and wish them the best of luck in their sporting fixtures!”
Kerry Greene, Principal at Goldwyn School, adds: “We want to express our wholehearted thanks to Redrow for providing Goldwyn School with PE kits through its sponsorship. The new kits have been much appreciated by us all, but especially by our PE leads and students.
Having a dedicated kit to wear has given our students a real sense of pride and fostered a tangible feeling of belonging, to both a team, and the wider whole-school community. The wonderful donation to the school has enabled the sports team to come together and participate in fixtures against other schools that hadn’t previously been possible.
As they represent us at events, they exude a truly professional appearance as ambassadors of Goldwyn School.”
