Pamber Heath Memorial Hall has been an important part of the community since being built in 1977. Run by a team of volunteers, the hall hosts a range of clubs, groups and social activities which cater to people of all ages. The new defibrillator replaces one that was over ten years old and will be kept on the outside wall of the hall allowing easy access to hall users, their preschool, Parish residents and the wider community in the event that someone needs to use the life-saving technology.
Jane Escott-New, Chairman of Pamber Heath Memorial Hall, said: “Our defibrillator was over ten years old, so we really needed a new one. We are extremely grateful to Redrow for their donation and ensuring the community continues to have access to this lifesaving defibrillator. We are pleased to be able to offer peace of mind and a safety net for the community with the provision of this equipment.”

Each year, more than 30,000 cardiac arrests take place outside of a hospital setting in the UK. Early CPR and defibrillation can double the chances of survival. Access to this lifesaving equipment helps bystanders and ambulance services to be better prepared in case of an emergency.
